2WM
2wm is a regional site developed in partnership with the Regional Development Agency (AWM),BT, Coventry University and the European Commission. This site is a useful gateway into the West Midlands, from links to business support, land and property searches, jobs, grants, news and events.

Advantage West Midlands
Advantage West Midlands is the Regional Development Agency for the UK's industrial, commercial and agricultural heartland. It is one of eight English Regional Development Agencies (RDA's) established by the UK Government in April 1999.

Black Country Business Link
Black Country Business Link together with the Black Country Chamber (BCCBL) offer a complete range of services to help businesses develop and achieve the success they deserve.

Black Country Chamber
Black Country Chamber work together with Business Link Black Country (BCCBL) to provide business support across the sub-region.

Black Country Children's Services Improvement Partnership
Black Country School Improvement Partnership (BCSIP) was set up to enable Black Country schools to make informed choices about quality with effective and affordable support across the four Local Education Authorities.

Black Country Conferences
Black Country Conferences, established in May 2000 is a new Conference Bureau offering a range of services including a free Venue Location Service.

Black Country Connexions
Black Country Connexions is a partnership of organisations and agencies working together to support young people during their teenage years.

Black Country Consortium
The Black Country Consortium, a public, private and voluntary sector partnership was established in January 1999 as the vehicle to address the need to prepare for a regionalised approach to development and regeneration matters.

Black Country Knowledge Society
A £4.4 million government funded programme to develop Information Communication Technology (ICT) as a tool to establish the Black Country as a premier league player in the knowledge economy by 2010.

Black Country Partnership for Learning
Black Country Partnership for Learning (BCPL) is a pan Black Country organisation of learning providers and associated organisations. Its broad aims are to focus on promoting and supporting participation in learning and improving the quality of learning across the Black Country.

Black Country Partnerships for Progression
Aimhigher – Partnerships for Progression in the Black Country is committed to addressing the burden of disadvantage associated with low participation and achievement in education.

Black Country Study
The Black Country Study is a dynamic study to develop the long term renaissance of the whole of the Black Country (i.e. the City of Wolverhampton and the Boroughs of Walsall, Sandwell and Dudley).

Black Country Tourism
BC Tourism was established in Oct. ‘99 with the main objective of building on the strengths of the BC as a regional resource to attract and retain visitors.

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council

Future Foundations
Future Foundations (the Walsall, Wolverhampton and South Staffs Regeneration Zone) was established as one of the West Midlands’ six Regeneration Zones. Zones are one of the key mechanisms through which Advantage West Midlands ensures that the Government’s Regional Economic Strategy is delivered.

Government Office for the West Midlands
The Government Office for the West Midlands is one of nine Government Offices established in England in 1994 to bring together the regional activities of the key Government departments responsible for economic development and regeneration

Groundwork Trust
Groundwork Trust is a partnership between the public, private and voluntary sectors with its own board of trustees. The work of the Trusts is supported by the national and regional offices of Groundwork UK and by Groundwork Wales.

Joint Centre on e-Learning Support (JCeL)
JCeL is one of six concurrent initiatives from the Black Country Knowledge Society (BCKS), supporting the 140 plus learning centres across the Black Country.

Learning and Skills Council
The Learning and Skills Council is responsible for funding and planning education and training for over 16-year-olds in England. Their mission is to raise participation and attainment through high-quality education and training, which puts learners first.

Policy Research Institute
The Policy Research institute provides client focused research and consultancy to meet the needs of local, regional and national communities and organisations.

Prospects
Prospects are one of the largest providers of careers, education and distribution services in the UK. From here you can access details of the Black Country Tracking project which covers all young people aged 14-19 in the Black Country.

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council
Sandwell lies at the heart of England and at the centre of the West Midlands conurbation. It is one of four metropolitan boroughs in the Black Country, click here to access the site for Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council.

The Birmingham and The Black Country Strategic Health Authority
The Birmingham and The Black Country Strategic Health Authority website. The areas encompassed by this Authority are Birmingham, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton. Within the area managed by the Authority there are 12 primary care trusts (PCTs) and 13 NHS Trusts.

University of Wolverhampton
The University of Wolverhampton, with over 22,000 students, is one of the UK’s largest universities. The University is committed to being a first-class regional higher education institution.

Walsall Borough Strategic Partnership
Local Strategic Partnerships have been set up in Local Authorities that receive Neighbourhood Renewal Funding (NRF) from the Government. Walsall’s Partnership has been meeting since October 2001. The web pages offer background information and notes of WBSP meetings.

Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council
